Using their mind alone (the high-tech helmet monitors the electrical activity of their brain and can distinguish between when a student is focussing with their attention or if they are distracted or start daydreaming). This is real brain training and has been described as like muscle memory. A recent study just completed in Hertfordshire Schools by the University of Hertfordshire has initial early results of reduced impulsivity using Play Attention during a 10-week intervention – further results to follow.

The video below shows a student Playing with their Attention and with their mind alone manipulating the loading of boxes onto a forklift truck, when the student is focussed notice the truck keeps moving (notice the students high concentration at 48 seconds), especially focus to notice the when the truck stops loading when the student is distracted and is not focussed or starts daydreaming (note the truck stops moving when the student fidgets and loses focus at 1 min 22 seconds! also notice the red bar reduces which is indicative of a student’s attention level). By remaining in focus the student is training their attention and earns points for each box loaded during a FUN educational game!

Play Attention Homework i-Lab Educational ‘Game’
Notice in the video below a Play Attention student reading their homework book whilst wearing the high-tech helmet! When the student is focussed i.e. reading from the book (or completing their math questions, etc) there brainwaves feedback to the ‘game’ to build a Library. Note at 30 seconds the building crane and helicopter is moving, yet note when the student fidgets and huff’s at 45 seconds onwards and the building of the library stops! Teachers are utilising this to monitor on a master consol what students are actually paying attention in an Homework i-Lab!

If you would like Play attention to be considered by your schools please vote for us in the Handheld Learning awards Final.

Funny! Video below from ‘Inattention Theatre’ presenting an an attention-memory instance and how it may have changed history! Help us change the USA flag to a UK flag based in Hertford by voting for us NOW please, if you consider this may help a person you know?

The thing about a beginner is that they’re eager. This is both good and bad. It’s good because they’ll put full effort into things and learn as much as they can, it’s bad because their eagerness makes them impatient! Many’s the beginner who didn’t get dramatic results in the first month and gave up because of it.
